The idea of Marsie Market (formerly Black Dog Mom Shop) came about when I got Mars and really became interested in ensuring he was healthy. With his IBD and allergies, I embarked on a journey of finding products from supplements to grooming supplies that would support his overall wellbeing. I wanted to create a business that focused on curating products for dogs that support health and wellness for all dogs.

In addition to focusing on canine wellness, it is important to me that this brand helps to normalize Black pet parents. There is usually no diversity when dog moms are represented in the media and pet industry. Representation is essential in every facet of life, so I decided to design and curate products for the dog lover in all of us.
